Her parents were vacationing on an American cruise liner which traveled along the Caribbean. The boat crashed and only a few of them survived. The mother was pregnant, and she ended up giving birth on the island. The labs kindly helped them out, seeing as they had doctors. Afterwards, they discarded the child out the door and kept her parents for experimentation. They died in the process. The child, Katalin, was only left with some clothes and maybe one or two belongings she keeps in a bag. One had her name on it. The other thing was a locket she could never open, so she put it in a place long forgotten. A pack of tigers found her, and surprisingly did not eat her. Instead, they took her as their own. They raised Kat, and a animal expert was on the island not much later. She was doing a study on tigers, and she couldn’t bear to part Kat from them. Kat was taken too, but she was taught to talk too. Her tiger family didn’t mind or care. They were released and remained in the woods.
